Is Hormone Replacement Therapy Safe in Early Menopause?

An international consensus conference, after looking at all the data, found that generally, in women between the ages of 50 and 59 that hormone replacement is safe. They caution that each woman should discuss her individual needs and risks with her doctor, but it really is OK to take hormones for menopause symptoms especially within the first 5 years after the cessation of a woman's period.
